How to Get Out of a Creative Rut

Do you ever just feel blah? Your mind seem to have stopped and you feel like your just sitting. For awhile the thoughts were flowing and the wheels were turning, but somewhere along the way your creative flow dried up.

I totally understand you. I happens to even the best of creative geniuses. That should also encourage you to know that you will bounce back. Here are a few tips on bouncing back from a creative rut?

1.) Get out from the mindset of "working". I know we all have deadlines but when you are in a rut, you need to go get out from around the work.

2.) Go Have Fun. However that looks for you.

3.) Get around other creative people. It's amazing what happens when you get around good energy and creative people. Even if there creative flow is not the same as yours, you will leave inspired. I like to go see modern dance to reignite my creative flow.

4.) Get some rest. I can't count how many times sleep has been the fix to my problem. I was simply tired and my mind needed to rest.

5.) Meditate and journal. There are tons of research that prove that meditation is good for soul and renewing of your mind. Journaling does something similar as it allows you space to release your thoughts.
